A major media source in Iran has reported that two of its principal banks have refused to conduct any business with corporations controlled by, or affiliated with, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. the Kayhan, a daily publication, has stated that both Bank Mellat and Bank Sepah, have declined to service foreign currency requirements, and to issue guarantees for affiliated companies.
The grounds cited for those actions were said to be international sanctions.
