We have received recently complaints from families in Jordan, Russia, India and from many other countries who have been defrauded by companies and individuals pillaging on the dreams of coming to Canada for a better life. Unscrupulous fraudsters behind these bogus immigration companies who are not licensed and certified by the Regulatory Society for Immigraiton Professionals are using fake and generic names of actual reputable immigration companies to commit these frauds without any form of conscience.
These financial crimes have now risen to be over $3 Billion USD industry per year according to InterPol, and Canadian Authorities are filing criminal charges upon receiving formal complaints from victims. The Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council keeps an uptodate list of present licensed and certified Immigration Consultants and have stated on their web site the following;
"ICCRC is a national regulatory body that serves and protects the public by overseeing licensed immigration and citizenship consultants and international student advisors.
ICCRC’s federal mandate stems from the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and the Citizenship Act which require anyone providing Canadian immigration or citizenship advice or representation for a fee or other consideration to be a member in good standing of ICCRC. Exceptions are members in good standing of a law society in Canada or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
Individuals providing Canadian immigration/citizenship services abroad are subject to Canadian law even if they reside outside of Canada."

Just because their fees seem much less; does not mean that the applicant will be approved for Immigration to Canada and the fees that have been paid in will be forfeited to the fraudsters.
