Reports from a New York Federal District Court case, in which a judgment was entered against Iran, for its participation in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, implicate Hezbollah. The 9/11 Commission Report detailed that some of the 9/11 terrorists were in Iran before the attacks, and this case reportedly has evidence that Hezbollah actually trained the attackers while they were there.

Details have not yet appeared in the media, which is unusual, given the seriousness of the information, but the world press is still focused upon ISIS, and the civil war raging in Syria.

What impact this evidence will have on Hezbollah's status as a global terrorist organization, and whether there will be additional US or EU sanctions visited upon it as the result, is not known, but it will most likely have an effect on any covert de facto cooperation between it and intelligence agencies' efforts to bring down the regime in Syria, and will further harden the position of the United States against it, whose citizens still remember Hezbollah's attacks upon American troops in Lebanon, in the 1980s.
