MARTINELLI'S LAWYER ASKS FOR 30 DAYS TO FILE HABEUS ON EXTRADITION

Counsel for former Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli, whose extradition was ordered by a Federal Magistrate Judge yesterday, has requested a Stay of Certification of his extraditability,  or alternatively, an order staying his Surrender for thirty days, if the Certificate was already issued.

Defense counsels' motion recited that that they needed the time to seek review of the Final Order, via a Petition for a Writ of Habeus Corpus, a collateral attack on the order.
